Halloween costuomes are not only overpriced but typically hard to find. What’s an artistic alternative? A pumpkin carving adventure! I took on the challenge of this year’s most popular halloween costume, Angry Bird’s “Red Bird” and his plump nemesis… err… “Green Pig”.

Prep Work

Download the Red Bird Stencil or Pig Stencil. If you print on 8.5×11 you’ll be just fine.

Real Work

So the stencils were a bit more difficult to get onto the actual pumpkins than I thought. Your best bet is taking a pen (avoid marker) and tracing it the best you can.

Once that’s complete, the only logical next step is to stab your pumpkin with a swift blow up top to ensure it understands the surgery you’ll be bestowing upon it here shortly.

Admire Work

Your reward… this step takes the longest.

Publicize Work

Get it out to the most relevant social network. In this case, your local tricks and treaters. While it might not scare anyone… it’ll surely make fanboys start sling-shotting themselves into one another, which is more entertaining.

So, what do you think?
